Our Story
About Doors of Hope
A free, confidential, life-affirming ministry serving women, men, and families of Madera and surrounding areas since 2003.

Our Mission
Walking Beside You
Doors of Hope has been in Madera since 2003. The building at 1201 East Yosemite Ave. does not look like much from the outside. Inside, 322 clients found something they did not expect - help that costs nothing and asks for nothing back. Faith-based and secular programs both. Everyone is welcome.
After 20 years as an independent ministry, Doors of Hope now operates under the Madera Rescue Mission, led by Executive Director Jesse Chavez. That oversight brought stability. The mission stayed the same.
Every service is completely free and confidential. Every session is one-on-one. We work with clients from Madera, Fresno, and across the Central Valley - in English and Spanish - and we do not turn anyone away based on belief, background, or circumstance.
