A listening ear changed her life
A woman arrived at Doors of Hope unsure of what to expect. After a private pregnancy test, someone sat with her for more than an hour and listened.
She had space to talk, ask questions and receive information. Instead of facing her fears alone, she found support.
Your generosity helps keep this kind of personal care available to the next woman who walks through our doors.
“I left with real information instead of just fear.”

More than a required class
A parent referred by Social Services expected little from a parenting class. Private sessions in Spanish and a respectful advocate changed that experience. The parent chose to continue with the Strengthening Families program.
From the Executive Director
Thank you! Your unwavering prayers and support are impacting young mothers and families in a powerful way.
Recently, we shared a story about Lucia. This frightened young girl walked through our doors to find love, support, encouragement and hope. Lucia and her baby are doing well and thriving. You made this possible.
As we enter the Thanksgiving season, our clients and staff are thankful for the impact you’ve made in their lives. I hope they can continue to count on your loving support.
God bless you and Happy Thanksgiving.

Helping a father move forward
A Madera father reached out when conflict around co-parenting became difficult. Through free, court-approved anger management classes, he found support from an advocate.
Together, they addressed issues he had avoided for years. He described a change in his relationship with his children.
“My relationship with my kids is different now.”
